We love these new apartments in Sestriere; great design, comfortable accommodation and only 100m from the town and 200m from the lifts! What more can you ask for?

The resort

Sestriere is one of the main resorts in the Milky Way with more than 400 km of pistes; it is friendly, cosmopolitan and the perfect destination for a great ski holiday. The resort is perfect for beginners with plenty of wide nursery slopes and both intermediates and expert skiers will enjoy red and black pistes. If this is not enough, you can explore the other parts of “the Via Lattea” like Sansicario, Sauze D’Oulx and Monginevro.

This resort was built for snow and has extensive snow making facilities, so you generally won’t have to worry about snow forecasts! There are plenty of ski schools with childcare available. Ski lifts are mainly modern and there is a 6 mile loop for cross country.

There is a wide choice of restaurants and cafes at the base of the slopes where you can enjoy a coffee and take a time off the runs. There are also many “off-piste” activities. An outdoor ice rink is open daily and it is possible to practice ice climbing and snowshoeing. If you fancy a break, then Turin is a fantastic and impressive City with great architecture, history and shops.

Sestriere itself is functional with several improvements after the last Olympic games Turin 2006. There some nice shops, a fitness centre and a swimming pool. Apres-ski is quieter during the week but becomes very lively at weekends. Some bars like Pinky offer live music, good food and drinks. There are also restaurants to suit all tastes. A few restaurants in the area are well known for their outstanding cuisine like Tre Rubinetti, Last Tango and La Baita.
