Go Gressoney this season for some of the best skiing in ItalyJanuary 22nd 2009  Little known Gressoney is a gem of a resort; 90 mins from Turin, beautiful terrain and some of the best ski conditions in Italy this season Many British skiers have not heard about Gressoney but this little known area, which has an extensive network of pistes, pretty villages and outstanding scenery.
According to mid Jan reports, the resort is in the top 3 resorts in Italy in terms of snow with approx 330cm.
The pistes are well groomed with an excellent lift system and intermediates will be spoilt for choice with long cruising runs. Beginners have lots of good slopes and advanced skiers will enjoy off-pisting at Alagna.
Gressoney itself is a quaint little village with cobbled streets and wooden buildings. It is a good value resort and has a selection of shops and restaurants. This is a small family orientated location, perfect for those wishing to relax and sample traditional cuisine after a good days skiing.
