"We had a lovely time at Chez Nous and Sauze in general. The apartment was fine, spacious and warm. We received a warm welcome and were always made to feel at home. The close proximity to the lift made the start and finish of each day really easy, the local restaurant (by the church) was really friendly and the food was always great. We went to the main town a couple of times and were generally impressed with your recommendations - although the food at the Village was a bit like pizza hut - bland and not very authentic and certainly not good value for money. The Pasta house (cant remember its proper name) was a real treat - wild boar pasta, local cheeses and a lovely atmosphere ( the owner was really nice too). The slopes were great and apart from the mist the skiing was too. Getting over to Sestriere was not easy, piste 89 (I think) was closed and the alternative to the cable car half way station was slushy narrow and bald in places - so just take the cable car all the way. If we were to be really picky - we would ask for some decent crockery - some mugs, wine glasses and a large teapot (I think we would have struggled if all four of us had gone), and a microwave would have been useful. Still, overall it was a wonderful holiday, lovely setting, warm and welcoming people and we would certainly consider returning." Mr and Mrs Cunningham
