This is the place you imagine when you dream of Tuscany - a typical country farmhouse of stone, newly restored into two independent apartments. It has an unique beautiful location at 600 ft. altitude. As far as the eye can see is the hilly landscape of Tuscany with olive groves, cypresses, and vineyards in the background is the city of Lucca with its intact city walls and many towers. It is as beautiful as it gets.

The area is protected and is one of the most gorgeous and most desired areas if you are looking for peace and quiet in an untouched landscape, yet wish to stay within easy reach of the city and restaurants. There is excellent hiking here.

Next to the lodging is another house occupied by an Italian family.

The property has two floors, but as it is built on a slope each apartment has its entrance on different floors.

The top floor (Lucca hills apartment) has its entry on the level of the terrace and consists of a cosy living room with TV/DVD and a comfortable sleeper sofa, a small stark kitchen with windows towards the view (gas burner, oven, fridge), a toilet, a double room, a bathroom w/shower, and a room with two bunk-beds.

The place has a cosy ambience: original terra cotta floors the old ceiling beams are maintained the rustic furniture emphasizes the homelike, Tuscan cosiness.

On the ground floor with an external entrance there is a washing-machine for common use.

A private and secluded swimming pool (11 x 5 meters) is open 14/05/2011 to 01/10/2011 and in common use with the other apartment. It is situated about 40 mts. higher than the house. From the deck chairs you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over the town of Lucca and the surrounding hills. (Children in the swimming pool or swimming pool area MUST be under adult supervision at all times)

The road up to the property is somewhat steep and quite narrow, but is blacktopped.

OTHER: Tremendously good country restaurants (Vipore, , Lombardo) within 2.5 km. Supermarket and other shopping in the village of S. Alessio about Km 6.

Linen are not included in the price EU 15 per person/week/change. These will be ordered automatically, unless other arrangements are made before arrival.
