The Apartment in Monopoli on Via San Vito was absolutely lovely. Check-in was easy and they even picked us up at the train station, which was so kind of them. The contacts for the property were pleasant, helpful, accessible and responsive. It helps to know a bit of Italian. You can easily walk to the beach in town (not particularly clean at the time of our visit, unfortunately) and to lots of nice restaurants and cafes. There is also a really nice bike path along the coast. Of course the terrace was the best part - and again, it was clean, very spacious and the views are just as pictured in the photos. Perfect for sunbathing and al fresco dining. I can recommend this apartment without hesitation! One small idea for improvement: Why not make a laminated map of the old town for the apartment with the nearby shops/restaurants/cafes/grocery stores marked? It would be a welcome addition. :-) Tip: It's a self-catering apartment, so plan on visiting a grocery on the way into town or going to a nearby mini-market for your needs upon arrival (or bring them with you)

Modern, comfortable, quiet apartment with stunning sea views from living area and terrace. Great location in the old town . Giuseppe , the owner, was very nice and welcomed us with fruit and mineral water. Monopoli is a beautiful old town with some excellent restaurants -- so pleased we stayed for 5 nights
