High above the town of Amalfi, sits one of the most attractive destinations on the Amalfi Coast. Famous for breathtaking panoramic views and exquisitely pristine Italian gardens, this peaceful historic village is very popular with honeymooners.

Gardens - the Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo have stunning gardens that are open to the public and attract visitors all year round. They offer views which are difficult to be beat anywhere on the Amalfi Coast. There is guided tours available for those who wish to learn about the history of the villas and the town itself.

Concerts - the village is an idyllic setting for many music concerts during the summer months and if you are lucky enough to be there when one is scheduled then it is not to be missed. The combination of scenery and music creates an ambience you will treasure forever.

How to get there - Head to Amalfi first and then you have three options. By car up the windy roads which can be challenging and parking is minimal once you reach the summit, take the bus which runs regularly, or if you are feeling fit and well then it is possible to walk on the pleasant footpaths and along then along the sea front.

Although there appears to be not much to it, this enticing village is well worth a visit. We recommend taking the bus up from Amalfi, having lunch in Ravello and its enchanting views, then having a leisurely afternoon stroll back down the mountain burning off some calories
