Le Marche is the ideal place for intimate weddings and relaxing, charming honeymoons. With a backdrop of historical hill towns, the stunning Appennine mountains, idyllic countryside villages and beautiful beaches along a spectacular 80km Adriatic coastline.

This beautiful region offers its own rich diversity of arts, history and culture that sets it apart from the rest of Italy and it a perfect location for a relaxing holiday in a traditional and unexplored part of Italy. People who visit this region are often surprised it not more recognised by the masses and the fact there are not many foreigners here is the appeal, giving the feel of real Italy.

In terms of historical towns, you will be spoilt for choice.  Urbino, a Renaissance hilltown, is a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage site. Monti Sibillini, which serves as a border between Le Marche and Umbria, offers the Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini for hiking, walking trails, wildlife and pretty views. It also houses some beautiful hills towns ready to be discovered such as Sarnano and San Ginesio. Visit the local markets, sample the fresh food and try some of the great wine on offer.
Pesaro and Fano offer a slightly old-fashioned but impressive sandy seaside promenades, especially Pesaro with its renaissance centre but the dramatic Conero Riviera is a must; this gorgeous stretch of coastline offers natural white-pebble beaches backed by milky and rugged cliffs.
If you're looking for a true rustic getaway and one where you are part of nature and immersed with the local culture, check out a honeymoon in Le Marche. This quieter destination will give you some of the dramatic rolling landscapes of Tuscany but also seaside options along the Adriatic and without the crowds.
