We are tempted to come back next year, especially if the few issues can be addressed!
The location of the property is unparalleled - certainly one of the best plots around the entire lake with incredible views. The living room and bedrooms are a good size and make use of the views. It's a shame the real kitchen is in a closed-off part of the house as there is not much room to cook. The bathrooms are fine, but relatively tired (especially the en suite). Given the price of the property for peak August, they are a little below where they should be but the photos give an accurate impression so you know what to expect. An easy and necessary fix would be to upgrade all sheets and towels and give more than 2 pillows per bed.
The pool was also cold - 26 degrees. It either needs to be covered at night or heated (it looked like there was solar heating but this was not in use).
One of the most stunning places I have been to, with lots of activities on offer. Renting a wakeboarding boat was a highlight. The caretakers are lovely people, who get as involved as you want them to be. There is no payment for electricity etc as was advertised and they are relaxed for low value breakages."
"The outdoor area and the pool as well as the view of Lake Maggiore were fantastic. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. In our opinion, the interior of the villa was very old-fashioned."
We had a great stay. We especially enjoyed the spectacular view and the exceptionally well-kept property. The gardener not only did a phenominal job, but also was very attentitve to the entire family.
